  • Pelican getting his breakfast

    Was fascinated when this peli I spotted cruising the river suddenly tucked his neck and head in until I realised he was lowering his profile to catch what he'd seen in the water.

    they're not dumb Jess. Another wonderful set Jess

    They would look great in one picture; but rotate them so they look to be moving [L to R] with the story

          Thank you so much.
          Having photographed these beautiful birds many times it's the first time I'd seen one do that.
          These 3 are from a series of 6 photos I took of him. Didn't want to be greedy so only posted these 3.
          I go out around 7.15 a.m. for about 3 hours or so Phil

              Beautiful shots. The dark water makes a great contrast with the light coloured bird and the reflection in the first is really something.
