Great Egret

Ardea alba. Wallaga Lake. (Just before my earlier Whistling Kite appeared.) The egret took exception to me trying to get closer and took off - I fluked one in focus shot. Difficult light.





D7000 300mm x1.7 TC Tripod. 1/1250 f/8 400 ISO -2/3 ev. Added some canvas ahead of flying bird.

Nice work on adding the canvas. I'm always a little scared to do that as I worry that coverting from lightroom raw to Jpeg then editing in PS then saving again will harm the IQ.

Looks awesome with the curved neck and stretched legs. Don't know how I missed it. Maybe I was just jealous you can get such good birds in flight in 'difficult light' and I just get blurs
