    Hi Alan
Is this a raven or a common crow? I can never remember one of these things sitting still for long enough for me to get a shot off (with the gun). They were always a really good alarm clock when we lived on the property in Perth noisy horrible things.

Despite it being on a "Pole" i really like the image, brilliant colouring, you have managed to capture the "bloom" in the feathers. Great photography.

      Thanks Gordon,

I believe Crows are found more to the West of me. I have Ravens and Little Ravens in Wamboin. Ravens don't tend to hang out in large groups and they have a long drawn out call, whereas the Little Ravens are more gregarious and have a shorter call.

According to my knowledgeable bird neighbour anyway

      Cheers
      Alan

It's a great photo. Shows how little about birds I know. If it's black and caws I thought they were all crows.

australian ravens are called crows by all and sundry

might be a case for one of your arty presentations of this one.
