was trying to figure how it got that way with 1/1000 sec, then I read further and saw the blur thingy

A great capture and the processing works a treat. Love the light on the birds.

Reminds me of the artwork done by one of my favourite artists, Lars Kundsen.

His artwork depicts birds in flight with motion streaks in a similar style to your photograph. I went looking for some examples on the web and couldn't find much so I can understand why you are unsure. I bought his calendar about mmm, 8 years ago and loved his work so much I framed them.
