  • Mt Kinabalu - Borneo

Highest mountain in South East Asia, 4101m. I have climbed this mountain 3 times. The third time was the best climb with clear summit.

I have combined 1 and 2 to get the last shot. Combined them in layer mode.

    What do you think?

I prefer the original colour shot, much prefer the colour of the sunkissed rock in the background in that image.

i prefer the last one although I feel the foreground is a little dark. I had a quick fiddle in lightroom with the fill light slider and I liked the lift it gave. not sure about the person........ gives perspective but also distracting for the scene IMO

Climbing 4000 mtr?? I'm flat out walking that at the moment

and don't tell me you lugged that view camera up there also!

Hehe... no. This was taken with my Canon A1 some 10 years ago. There won't be much left of me if I was lugging the view camera up there.

More from the climb. I was only in my late twenties when i did the climb. It's one of the easiest mountain to climb with well marked track upto 11,000 fts. The tough bit is the remaining 2,000 fts up the summit on steep rock face.
