  • Live theatre photography - lighting variations

    G'day all

As many will remember from other posts, I enjoy live theatre photography using the Lumix FZ-300 with its constant aperture F2,8 lens and the 24x zoom ... meaning that I can choose to shoot at F2,8 x 600mm [FullFrame Equiv] during the show

The three images below are all JPG ex camera with no editing (except for reducing in size for internet posting). They are here to show viewers the impact of sudden changes to lighting that occur at all times during a show, where the lighting guru is having fun sweeping lights to and fro across the performers

The performer is Evan Webster (as Barry Gibb) on lead guitar

    As always, feedback welcome
    Phil

      Hi Alan

Yes - thanks for the thought ... -but- I've been doing it since the 60s !!
However, the 3 images above are showing how quickly the lighting colours can change as the camera is happily chattering along at 4fps - these 3 images being all taken at the same moment

Pl keep up your good works too ... as I enjoy your bird pics whenever they arrive here
      Phil
