  • The Last Post bugle call

    G'day all

Each year on 25th April, Australia stops to remember its war dead. The day is called ANZAC Day in rememberance of the Aus and NZ Army Corps troops who were heavily involved with WW-1. While all the attention was on the figures surrounding the Cenotaph, this gentleman stood quietly at the rear of the crowd, waiting patiently for his call to duty with the Last Post followed by the Reveille

    As always, feedback welcome

Anzac Day always holds a special place in my heart Phil. I lost family at the cove and later in other stupid and unnecessary conflicts.
Your image is a poignant reminder for us all and "Lest We Forget".
I photographed the 100th Anzac day event in Dongara back in 2015 and there's a few pics on my website if anyone wants a peek. HERE

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Thanks for looking Phil. It was a first for me at that time of the day and I was overwhelmed by the number of people that came along and supported the event. When my web page loads it should play "The Last Post" but some browsers block audio now. Did it autoplay for you?
