  • A mixed bag

I took a drive over to Casey Fields today to try my hand at some sports photography.
    As always C & C most welcome.

#3 This is probably my favourite image of the day. The action of the bowler, the four fieldsmen, in shot, but not dominating the scene. Even the umpire lends something to the image, it's just a shame that the batsman is not fully in shot.

#8 This time at the bike track I slowed down the shutter speed considerably in an attempt to give the impression of forward motion, or at least some blurring of the spokes. Not sure if I fully succeeded. It's much easier to stop motion than to convey motion. Gives me something else besides birds to practice on

I take it you like your sports photography and I can see why.
Far better than I could do.

Not really a keen sports tog Arthur, it's just another way to get to know your camera and lens settings. You only get one chance to get it right because the people involved are not going to replay the action just because you got your settings wrong.
Working...
