  • Night Rugby in a regional town

    G'day all
At the moment I am up in Queensland and come late afternoon, the amplified announcements from the local sports field had me curious. I'd been busy through the afternoon, but after dinner meal I decided to go for a walk - to find the local rugby match in progress. Rugby does not excite me either as a sport or a game, but ... I decided to give the camera a workout anyway

The images I have chosen here show both 'clear bits' and 'blurry bits' showinig action - and where I like the blurry bits of the image. Whether you do is open for comment

Good fun. looks like your panning needs a bit of pollishing.

I haven't got much time for the game either, but I guess you had a bit of fun here playing with slow shutters. #2 works ok for me but the others are a bit offside!.. Or is that soccer, who cares anyway.

Thanks fellas .... it's not the sort of stuff I would normally do, and certainly not a "sport" I would follow anyway ~ but it was a photographic challenge

Nothing like a good regional game of footy. We pulled up in the caravan park at Mundubbera one Sunday arvo near the local oval and the local derby was just starting after we finished setting up. It was a very entertaining game and half the region was there. We enjoyed it more than going to a big fist grade game because the enthusiasm from the crowd was infectious.
