Up north, Innisfail Qld is famous for its 'Mundoo' skydiving centre, which attracts skydivers from around the world - both for novice 'dual-person' and 'solo-experienced' jumping
For me - I'm a wimp ... I have the T-shirt that says "why jump out of a perfecly good aeroplane"
I did some shooting over several days when the weather was okay - shooting with the Panny FZ200 racked out to 24x zoom [600mm or thereabouts] with 1,5x in-camera digital zoom on occasion when I was hunting for the moment that the divers exited the plane at over 9000 feet up
All images on "S" mode at1/1000s, auto-ISO [usually around 100], apertures taken care of by the camera
Here's a couple of shots ...
1- the moment of no return ... and down below we hear the free-falling start [sounds like paper rippling in the breeze]
2- one of many brightly coloured chutes in use
3- many divers crossed paths in the sky with others in the group
4- same as above
5- and some liked to try some aerobatics [hope they hadn't eaten recently]
As always, comments welcome
Phil
