G'day all
In Innsfail FNQ a week or so ago, the family were staying with lived about 1km from the airport - an airport that is Australia's premier parachuting location
Each day x a dozen times each day, we would hear the plane take off and 'struggle' upwards to whatever designated height it was aiming for; it would circle upwind for a while then the engine would die for a 1/4 minute. Then we'd see black dots falling to earth, hear the 'crack' as the chute opened and watch the skydivers as they came to earth ~ the whole thing lasting under a minute
One day they were diving thru cloud - and here they are ...
1- first vision of the skydiver coming through the cloud
exif for all images ... Fuji X-s1; 1/1000s x f5,6 EV +0,5; 625mm [ff equiv]; iso-125
2- a bit more to be seen
3- OMG - there's 2 sets of legs there ... it's a dual jump with a beginner !
4- and here go in for the landing
camera to subject distance was about 1/3 to 1/2 km
