(Not sure what a Strobist is supposed to be either, but this seemed to fit the bill)

Me either so can't say if it fits. Now I have to ask what a deco line is.

Deco line is either a line with a weight on one end and a float on the other, or in this case the anchor line of my boat, which allows a diver to hold at a relatively shallow depth to allow for decompression to occur.

Depending on what depth the diver has been to and for how long, a diver must wait for dissolved nitrogen to leave the body slowly to avoid bubbles from forming in the tissues and joints. (You may have heard of divers with the 'Bends' when they don't decompress sufficiently).

      Thanks for the question. Cheers.

Thanks for the explanation. Have heard of decompression and the bends which occur without it, just never the term deco line.
