  • Show us your Instrument

You don't seem to see photos of musical instruments in forums so this could be the start of something great! Feel free to jump in with some photos of your favorite instrument. This is my Daion '81 from the "Year Series" also known as "The Caribou". They were hand made in Japan with the back and sides Flame Maple and the top solid Cedar. The transducer is built in under the bridge saddle with slide controls near the neck. The fingerboard is Rosewood. At around $650 in the eighties it was pretty expensive.

Very nice. Interesting and very different body shape, I reckon that would be a hard to find and very desirable collector's guitar.

I like cedar soundboards as they have a lovely warmth and a slightly smoother sound than spruce.

Here's my baby. If that Clapton bloke wanted to take his playing to the next level he'd get one of these.

Solid blackwood back and sides with a Qld maple neck, rosewood fretboard and strings set slightly high for fingerpicking.

Nice axe Mick, Maton make good guitars. Great light colour easy to keep looking good as opposed to the dark red wine which needs constant polishing! I'll get a snap of the Fender and post this weekend - If time permits. It'll be interesting to see if other members are photog/muso types.
        Cheers

Not my instrument, but worthy of inclusion.

A man and his favourtite 'axe'. A hand made Churchill small body. Indian Rosewood sides and back, Vancouver Island Cedar top, African Mahogany neck with Ebony fretboard.
One of 8 Churchills in his collection.
