The only use my camera is getting lately has been to record the pens I am making.
Might as well post a few.
These are all taken with my diffused LED lights in my shed.

Great work on all of these Ironwood. Shame you can't avoid the line that runs through the centre. I'm sure you could come up with something to combat it though.

Damn you Isac, I hadn't noticed the line until you pointed it out. Not as obvious on the Birdseye Huon, which is my favourite.

Great selection of pens there Brad. A mutual acquaintance (Robbo) is well know to say "there are real turners (spindle turners), and pretend turners (faceplate turners). You are most definitely in the former category, while I languished in the later.

Thanks Isac. That line is caused by the opening of my lightbox. I have been able to mostly eliminate it by using an A2 sheet of white paper with a hole cut out to poke the lens through.
I get a bit lazy and don't get it out most of the time, because it makes moving the pen a real hassle. Next pen I photograph, I'll use it to show the difference, I still get a black reflection from the lens that I can't eliminate using this set up.
