  • Iconic Australia for Australia Day

But not nearly as iconic as it used to be.

My wife's cousin has a small sheep property (4000 acres) out past Mitchell in Queensland (between Roma and Charleville). I recently spent a couple of days with him and went with him when he moved some sheep between paddocks. They have had some rain so the country is looking great.

It was fascinating to watch him and the dogs working the sheep. He is now eighty and runs the property on his own.

That's as Aussie as it gets Alan. Looks nice and lush. Nice story and great photos.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Fantastic. Looks like he will be doing it for a few years yet.
