Certainly is a beautiful rose Greg. I think whatever you did in PP darkened the outer petals which maybe would look better a bit brighter. I'm on the fence about the inclusion of the smaller one. Just my own thoughts, see what other flora aficionados think.

Not much comment from any other flora aficionados, however you might find the single blooms more to your taste.

I do prefer the singles. Nice drops on the last one.

On first glance, I liked the pair as it is a bit different, but now that I've seen them separate I really can't decide. I really like the second although it looks almost blown out in a couple of spots

I think we all should try things that are a bit different and whether other people like them or not should be secondary as long as you like them yourself. The shot of the pair were taken as a part of the same image but were too far apart for it to be a nice composition. I took a section of canvas out of the centre to put both blooms in a more balanced position to display the stages of opening. It was well received elsewhere.

Well stated Greg, we should all try to push our limits and as long as there are no glaring faults if we are happy with the result then that is all that matters. Of course we should always remain open to honest and helpful criticism otherwise we would never improve.

Agreed and we’re not likely to improve putting up the same type of shots over and over again. It is good to develop your own style though.
