Well that worked well...

I guess I should have been more explicit, (and given more lead up time, sorry), in suggesting that people might like to post any photo, taken on Australia Day, which showed what you were doing - even if not celebrating it.

A snapshot that grabbed your attention during your day ...'This is Australia', sort of stuff if you like.

I never used to be one who attended AD ceremonies, but for the last 20 years, I've realised it's a good way to find out who the unsung heros of our community are.

And there is no shortage of those people here. Thank you all

Sorry Alan, but I didn't even get the camera out on the day. I had to work most of the morning, then went home and watched the cricket on TV.

I was doing this on Australia Day. it was too hot even to be out in the pool but I did enjoy a 70" view of Australia giving it to the Pakistanis in the fifth ODI cricket series.
