Thanks for commenting Gabby. I remember as a kid I used to set preserving jars in the low tide puddles with a little bread in each to catch these little fellows. Sometimes we even got enough for a feed!

About 30 seconds in boiling water was enough to colour them pink and then a very nice starter for any meal.
