Would be a perfect time for capturing some of the landmarks.

Maybe Alan is giving a subtle hint to our beloved Pollies in Canberra. I always thought that nothing is ever Black and White in that part of Australia.

Dead set opposite to the traffic conditions where I live. You could send the kids and the poodles to play on those freeways with a clear conscience.
I would show you but I don't want to end up as a hood ornament on some mobile phone using, speeding, inattentive dunk's windscreen.

Haven't been there, not done that.

We did think about setting up a picnic blanket on the main bridge for a photo, (and we could easily have done so on any of those roads), but got a bit worried about the legalities, esp when one of the first cars to pass by was a police car.

Sorry to hear about your roads/traffic Jo. Moruya would be the same. A 4 km traffic jam at Batemans Bay formed as all of Canberra headed to the coast in great haste to join the queue...

Good time to be off the roads
