I was at Dutton Hatchery with my young nieces. We watched a video of the eggs stripping and milking the male trouts.
They were visually disturbed by it. However, they admitted it was educational to know.

Thanks guys. It's something the inland fisheries do every year. Over two days they have displays of how wild trout are managed, fishing for the kids, helicopter rides over the lakes etc. Well worth a visit if you are in Tassie in May.
