So different to up this way. Definitely a more English feel which I guess comes from the colder climate

I guess quite a few of the villiages in Tassie could have been lifted straight out of the UK.

      I appreciate the comment.

Greg, a lovely shot in many respects. Beautiful composition, color, framing with the arching tree (although it is a bit cut off at the top) etc. all there in spades.

But the scene is not really very romantic looking. Peaceful, yes, but as a scene perhaps a bit ordinary? Just not the prettiest view in town? Perhaps this is not an important consideration, but that is what struck me when I first looked. Of course there is no rule that says landscapes all have to be a pretty looking view.
        Charles

My indecision is final, I think.

Thanks for your impressions Charles. I do appreciate the comment and take everything people say on board.

I guess this is one of these moments in time where you just had to be there. I just loved the feel of the flowing water below a calm pond with a few ducks muddling around only a stones thrown away from a town centre.

I posted it in 'Snapshots' for this reason as by now you might have guessed that my photography is as much about 'show and tell', as trying to produce award winning images.

I have a very broad view on what might be an interesting photograph and by getting feedback both for and against, I can make judgements of my own on what works and what doesn't.

Keep the comments coming, they are valued if not always agreed with.
