    The thing that draws my eye in #1 is the interesting colour and pattern on the pylons - almost like a painted scene. Why do they call it the sawdust bridge? Quite like the fish one - interesting pattern in the reflection.

      Thanks for the comment Gabby. The pilons are coloured in part by the treatment process used to prevent rot and also by the marks made by the tide rising and falling twice daily in the river. The range is around 3 metres.

      The bridge is a reconstruction at the same position of a crossing used in the very early settlement days of the region. Apparently a timber mill operated here and sawdust was dumped, I guess, as a matter of convenience.

      The bridge was rebuilt as a community project about 20 odd years ago and forms part of a walking/bike track I use on a regular basis. Despite the mud it's very pretty and calming and many of the shots I post here are from that general area.

        I was beginning to be drawn into your series Greg, I thought yeah under bridge, ok, oh, rubbish and sticks under the bridge, ahhh a story, oh a nice little blowfish having to put up with all of that.
