  • Blimp

We had just finished dinner tonight when I heard a familiar (tho not recently) noise ..... hobbled outside, then back in for the camera .... he will stay at the local airfield overnight before heading off in the morning for his next destination. The Whitman Blimp stopped here overnight a few times .... the first time we actually got chocolates from the crew ... yum

Looking good, not sure if I'd like to travel that way?

I would hate to travel 'under' one of these contraptions ..... watching them land is scary, so would hate to go through that experience .... this one 'seemed' to be battling against the stiff wind ... headed south of town before finally turning and coming back to land ..... but that may have been a 'delay tactic' while waiting for his ground crew to get ready to 'catch' him ..
