The good lady wife and I recently went on a small trip around the bottom half of the South Island in New Zealand and we also spent a few days around Auckland.
There is a tree located in Karaka which has been a popular subject by many of the local enthusiasts, and I made it my mission this time to get at least one image of it It's aptly named "Susie's tree" after Susie who is a member of the local camera club (also apparently lives just down the road from the tree) was the first to start publishing images of the tree.

Karaka is a small rural area of Auckland, New Zealand. Formally part of Franklin District, under the authority of the Franklin District Council it is now part of Auckland City (under the Franklin Local Board[1]) following the amalgamation of the Auckland regions councils.
It is primarily a rural town associated with horse studs as well as dairy and sheep farming. In recent times, some of the pastoral land has been subdivided into expensive residential plots.
