When growing up we had hundreds of these at our place (no wonder we had a rubbish garden) and it was the 'norm' to see them travelling as a pair. We were never 'enlightened' as to what was really going on …

you might have to get a set of close up filters and then get right in closeComment

I have a close up lens ... would have to 'sit on them' to get them .... if you go to close to them (just walking nearby) they will go and hide ...
