  • Solstice at the Henge

Not Stonehenge, but Sutton Henge, near Canberra. A young couple built their own, smaller version and invited the neighbours over last night to celebrate the solstice and watch the end of the world. (not a bad thing to build )

He runs an earth moving business so he had the rocks and equipment. They had to get a council DA and are now planning on having a coffee van. (It's on the main route from Canberra to the coast)

It is indeed Alan - but only by about 200 metres. You can see it from the Hume Highway coming from Sydney on the left about 5 kms before Eaglehawk.

Interesting set up. If you took the people out of the image, it would have everyone guessing as to the actual size of the site. The people give it a definite scale. Good angle too.
