  • Blue roof

Hi guys, sort of been in photographic limbo for a few months. I was looking through some older stuff and came across this shot. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Nice one Glen, but I reckon it can be improved with a little photoshop magic.

There's a very slight blue colour cast to the image, as you would expect really, and I think it creates a problem on the brickwork.

I removed the colour cast using the black and white pickers on a curves layer and then increased saturation on the reds and yellows ever so slightly, but only on the bricks. I feel the image is improved by making the reds "cleaner", for lack of a better word lol. Nice contrast in a very blue image.

Removing the colour cast also made the greens at the front pop. I did a gentle round of sharpening as well to add some more pop.

Hope you don't mind me having a play but I really like this image and felt it was worth a tickle.

I don't mind anyone playing with the images I put up, it helps in the learning process, I agree, it does look better, also I've only just noticed the sort of knurled top to the stack
