  • Photo Hunt

A group got together yesterday morning to do a photo hunt - a list of subjects to capture in a specified zone, shot in jpeg, with a 2 hour time limit. It was a fun morning, we separated to get our shots then met at the Coffee Club for coffee then lunch. These are some of my efforts.

I should have shot my "looking up" earlier to possibly avoid the highlights, but bright sunny days up here probably couldn't have done much better at 8.30 a.m. when we started. This hangs above the main street and the story behind it is, a well known local identity flew his plane over the main street during WWII to propose to his then girlfriend - she said yes.

An interesting set of photos P Plates. I can see the photowalk idea working to get people out of their confort zone and exploring new ideas.

      Good concept!

Pressure, but fun. Agree with Lloyd about getting people out of their comfort zone.

It was fun and subjects I thought would be hard were easy and vice versa. We had 8 subjects and have until tomorrow to upload our images to Flickr so will be interested to see the others interpretations as well.

Great idea and I hope they all get behind the concept. Sounds like a lot of fun. I like the story behind the looking up one, and well seen by you.

Thanks Jenne, hoping to make it a more regular event. Hard to miss the plane which hangs over the middle of the main street in town. I didn't notice until I got home and uploaded that there is a real plane flying above it.

                G'day all

Back in my college days, I had a session with students called "top-40" ... where they had 40 minutes to take 40 images [of the topic & technique specified elsewhere in the assignment] - Then all images were shown on the projector/screen in the classroom

It certainly got their juices flowing, both with the taking & the viewing / heckling afterwards
                Regards, Phil
