Yep, spot on K1W1. I would have left the DSLR up in the luggage rack and not even got it out of the backpack. The little S100 though went into my top pocket when I boarded and came out a few time during the flight. I have only had it a week and already I have gotten into the habit of throwing it in my top pocket (or jacket pocket) everywhere I go. Not that I am saying the S100 is not up to the task, I just wish the G12 was a little smaller and lighter as it is a pretty neat bit of kit that is more DSLR like in its functions. Just too big and heavy for my needs though. I can maybe see one of the better compacts in my future though as an in between camera, when I want something better than the P&S but still smaller than the DSLR.

Well rumour has it that Canon will be releasing an ILC with the G1X sensor maybe as early as this weekend at PMA in Melbourne.
