  • From the Archive .... Phil's early images (part-2 ... the decade from 2011 to 2020)

    G'day all

As mentioned earlier, one advantage from having to repair my PS Organiser catalogue was the need to revisit all my earlier originals - with the pleasant discovery of so many images that were worthy of viewing again. (it is also a beaut way of keeping in touch with my mates here while otherwise in 'lockdown'

This post will start the process again and starting from the top will save you the need to scroll down thru heaps of already-seen images

Well what can I say? Such a diverse lot for sure. Although they're all fabulous, best for me is 63, closely followed by 65 and 66.

          G'day fellas

          Thanks for your thoughts

I suspect that each of us has a similar diverse range of images, and should you / each / go back to review (as I have been forced to do in rebuilding the libraries) then you will find your beaut images are hiding just below the surface too

            G'day all
Here's a few 2013 images with the Fuji XS-1 camera - a very mixed-up design that had its good points and others that drove me nutz.
The 20x zoom lens was quite okay, but it was the funny focusing that finally got to me such that I gave the camera to someone else
While the menu offered (the usual) focus options over its 49 focus points, at no stage did it ever use more than one focus point to attempt to gain best focus

            65) Waiting for the Ute

            exif- Fuji XS-1; 1/450s x F3,6; ISO-100; lens at 2x zoom / 50mm FF equiv

            66) Heading into danger ~ narrow road and one-lane bridge ahead (ps this where I wish city-based caravanners would have & use a 2-way radio)

            exif- Fuji XS-1; 1/750s x F6,4; ISO-100; lens at 6x zoom / 150mm FF equiv

            67) Misty start to the day ~ Wrenbrook Retreat

            exif- Fuji XS-1; 1/640s x F5,0; ISO-100; lens at 2x zoom / 50mm FF equiv

            68) Victorian country backroad to nowhere in particular

            exif- Fuji XS-1; 1/450s x F3,6; ISO-100; lens at 2x zoom / 50mm FF equiv

I'm gathering you have a predilection for winding roads/tracks and I must say they do present as great fodder for a good photo op.

Dunno Isac- but most times a wiggly / bendy road makes a beaut leading line into 'somewhere'

Another great set Phil. The caravan guy must have thought if he can't lift the caravan, it is a heavy vehicle. HaHa. The noisy minor really needed a bit of D&B so I couldn't help myself
