Ah yes, the good old days, but quite picturesque.
The town I lived in had a sewerage system back in the early 1950s (if not before) but one house we lived in had the wc in such an outhouse, but I also spent time where the pan had to be manually emptied - the memories! -
Lovely outdoor scene Mark! I remember them well and I also have vivid memories of the gentleman who turned up with his horse drawn "collection" cart. Ah - the good ol' days
