  • Blowing bubbles

We saw a bit of sun between the showers here today, and the sky is clear outside now (7:00 pm), so perhaps we will have some better weather. The ground is saturated though - it's squelch, squelch, squelch walking around the yard.

Here's a photo of my grandson blowing bubbles. Another from the archive - this is from 2017. I placed him in open shade in front of a dark wall to get soft light and a clean background. The Sigma macro lens works well for portraits.

    Nikon D800, Sigma 150mm f/2.8 macro. 1/250 f/4.5. ISO 140

Think I remember this one. Excellent job. It will be treasured by him in the future as well.

Thanks Hans. I'm fairly sure I haven't posted it before although I did post a somewhat similar one of another grandchild. I could be wrong though.

    G'day Alan

A beautiful image of a nice young fella ... and definitely one for display at home for grandma's enjoyment

Like how you got this stopped before it was sent on its way.
Also agree that little fella will love this shot when he is older.

Ditto of all above. Lovely keeper for the young man. Beautiful light and well set up.
