    G'day all

I met Bobbie some time ago and did a bit of photography with her ...

Found those images the other day and decided to have a minor pp play with one image

    exif- Pentax Kx; 1/180s x f6,7; 70-300 Siggy @ 220; iso-200
pp - processed by Portrait Professional, then some enhancement of lip colour & sharpening in PSE

As always - comments & feedback welcome
    Phil

I don't have much experience with portraits, but I like the catchlights in her eyes.

On my monitor there seems to be a yellow cast over the image. I've taken the photo into photoshop and run "auto colour" over it and posted the result below.

The auto colour seemed to make the dark bit at the top of the photo even darker, so I toned that down. The colour still looked a bit wrong (like my scientific explanation !), so I then put a photo filter adjustment layer over it and ran through the standard colours the photo filter offered and decided the "cooling filter" blue made it look about right. I find that method gives me a quick idea of what the colour problem is. You can see I'm lazy

Nice processing Phil. Bobby has that 'hypnotic' stare going... "What you looking at"?

Thanks for having a play with it ... however on my [laptop] monitor, they each look blue with #2 horribly blue
I suspect that the colour 'imbalance' may be due to the yellow-green [from grass & dirt] flooding the background and influencing our eyes ... ?

and Greg .... yes the look certainly gets into my soul

She is an attractive lady, but I'm afraid the photography bit is not all that flattering, the way her shirt/top is bunched up in front and behind her adds weight to her unnecessarily and the on camera flash is doing very little to enhance the image, posing differently would take the heaviness away, elongating the neck, body shifted away from camera, compositionally I get a sense of claustrophobia with that crop, way too tight for my preference. There is definitely a colour cast in the green range which may be resulting from the strong light bouncing from the surrounding flora.
          Cheers
