This is obviously a composite shot, the background is a HDR of 3 exposures, then using my edgy lighting in studio we shot Paul resting on a foam block for the flying kick as he had a dodgy knee and couldn't do the real thing, then another shot of Paul in his civies for the impact shot.

The lights have been added in post and the usual processing to blend everything together. Forgot to mention the sky was also composited in as was a dreary day when I took the alley shot.

Always find your shots amazing and this is no exception. Love the gritty feel of it and also the flare from the sun on the corner of the building. Do you use photoshop to do the masks or some other programme?
