im still relatively new to portrait photography (so havent done that much 'growing'), but i went from caring about overall exposure to caring more about subject exposure and less so about the scene (from happy snaps to serious portraits). i got into portraits after seeing summery, bright, warm, flare/haze type shots with small DOF and i suppose that part is still a big part of how i think
this is from my first 'serious' portrait shoot and its still quintessentially my 'style'

unfortunately the weather/locations doesnt allow me to shoot like that more often, esp in melb
