  • Opinions please on a couple of seascapes

These are heavily processed - sky was over-exposed and land was under-exposed. What do you think?

They look good to me Alan. Perhaps a little bit of a gradient using the colours in the sky to lift the RHS where the building is? Just IMHO. be good to see the originals to compare.

Here are the originals Isac. I was about to bin them, but I liked the light on the rocks and decided to see what I could rescue. The difference is drastic enough that I don't think it's worth the side by side comparison.

        G'day Alan

I wouldn't bin them .... they seem to have possibilities as you have shown above
I have taken the liberty of playing with them using my software .... samples below
Keeping things simple, I have lightened shadows, darkened hi-lights and added a bit of saturation

If I wanted to do a bit more, I would probably crop a tad, to a 16x9 format to suit my screen layout

Seeing as it's in "Pick It To Pieces" channel, I had a play as well. A few adjustments in ACR and then PS. Download PS file HERE if you wanna see

I like both of the two processed photos. Your processing has brought out the best of the scene.

Maybe HDR might have improved the OOC shots, but the details were good in presumably the RAW's...

Thanks Isac and Ozzie_Traveller, both look good. I will probably go with something between the two in brightness. I was trying for a low-key dramatic look.
