They look good to me Alan. Perhaps a little bit of a gradient using the colours in the sky to lift the RHS where the building is? Just IMHO. be good to see the originals to compare.

Here are the originals Isac. I was about to bin them, but I liked the light on the rocks and decided to see what I could rescue. The difference is drastic enough that I don't think it's worth the side by side comparison.
I wouldn't bin them .... they seem to have possibilities as you have shown above
I have taken the liberty of playing with them using my software .... samples below
Keeping things simple, I have lightened shadows, darkened hi-lights and added a bit of saturation
If I wanted to do a bit more, I would probably crop a tad, to a 16x9 format to suit my screen layout

Thanks Isac and Ozzie_Traveller, both look good. I will probably go with something between the two in brightness. I was trying for a low-key dramatic look.
One of the beaut things that I like about this little group is the willingness to share and experiment and collectively exchange info + techniques + results
