  • As the song says ... Up, Up and Away

    G'day all

    Had a beaut sunny day yesterday so decided to walk down to the lake and see what was happening - this fella took one look at me and decided that somewhere else was better than here!

    1) Hop ...


    2) Skip ...


    3) Jump ...


    4) and Away !

    It is amazing how much grace a bird that shape and size can muster. I don't think you got his best side, may have to be sneakier next time.

      A great action series which really tell a story. They are a little less graceful when landing but it's worth seeing.

        Yeah, good story Phil. I've probably got as many shots of the Pelicans as you! They are the most awkward looking bird but as some say, they are graceful in certain situations. Nice action series - shame it was flying away though. Looks like a pretty big lake!

          Looks like a pretty big lake! ...

          Wallis Lake, Forster - as big as Sydney Harbour, but only 2-4m deep
