Too damn cold for me mate with these old bones. Good on you for getting out there and taking some absolutely marvelous photos for us all to see. Colours are wonderful. #4 for me (without the rocks in the foreground) - looks so calm.I Shoot A Canon

Thanks Isac. I did think about cropping out the rocks but I wanted to leave in all the brumby footprints in the mud under water.

That's a great series Todd and I agree with you re the experience and solitude. You can't buy that stuff.
I prefer the last image with foreground rocks included as they provide an anchor point and the brumby footprints are a bonus.
But the closest one is a tad bright and that's mildly distracting so a quick touch with the burn tool to tone it down helps I reckon. Personal taste of course.

G'day mate
Yes - agree with others re- a great series
suggestion for future ice shots ... don't forget to set WB to Shade [or whatever] rather than leave it on AWB ~ you'll get cleaner whites in the frost. You might also need to give EV+0.5 as well to lift the whites out a bit more

It is nice to get out and about. No longer into the cold either so off to spend a few weeks up north soon, been home a few days in winter after all. Surprising how different the picture looks with the cropped foreground sure makes for a completely different atmosphere.Better a full bottle in front of me
than a full frontal lobotomy.

Thanks Mick. That's a worthy adjustment for sure.
Thanks Phil. I think I had the EV set at +0.2 from memory but will take those other tips on board for sure.
Thanks Hans. Yep very different image without the rocks and brumby prints.

Wow, I hope you had a very warm sleeping bag Todd. What a stunning spot. The reflection on the water in the last is beautiful and the small amount of mist just adds to it. I also prefer the uncropped version of it with the rocks giving foreground interest.
