I like them both/the first one for artistic skill you achieved, the second for the simplicity of the shot , the control of the. DOF that really makes flower stand out. Bill

The first one for me and I recon you could take the shadows back even more.

#1 - what was the processing done on this Phil?
#2 - Exposure seems excellent. Good subject matter. Side lighting is very effective and colours are very good too. Only one thing that bothers me, the top part of the plant is missing which spoils the framing a little. All in all - good work.

          G'day Isac

          This one any better?

          Processing ... not much
          1- Levels - Black from 0 to 10
          2- Centre - above image from 1,00 to 0,66
3- A tiny bit of cloning above stem to hide some highlights

Better Phil. I was a bit confused by the sharpness of the outline glow that's all.

These are both winners for me.

I like the direction of your edit for #1.

#2 has great color and the soft background is beautiful.

My indecision is final, I think.

This is why I love photography. I see a blend of the two.

Darker plant, while retaining the soft glow and colours of the delicate background.

Ignore me though, I had a dawn to dusk babysit security gig last night and am almost seeing double...time for bedy byes
