    Really like the first one Toddy. The background looks a bit smokey, is it smoke or mist? If I was to suggest anything with the shot I would darken off the levels in the background but retain the levels you have in the foreground. Perhaps just lowering the yellow saturation maybe all it needs? Still like it though!

    Some of those rocks actually look like Jasper (the gemstone) which could explain the name.

      Thanks Greg. It would be a mixture of fog and smoke. Early morning fog hadn't quite lifted and and there was smoke from nearby campfires.
      Thanks for the feedback about the de-yellow. Still haven't got that quite sussed yet on the Sony.

        Yep - it's #1 for me too ... [nuthin wrong with #2 or #3] - I like the size relationship between the rocks & the water to the far background
        Colour of light / time of day also enhances the image .. well done

          Number 1 is nice but I like number 2 best. The camp site looks like a great place to stay and unwind.
