I agree with you that it works well with the eye traveling back and forwards over the image.Not sure if I like the harshness I would have to see it compared.Better a full bottle in front of me
than a full frontal lobotomy.

Can you give me a bit more explanation of 'harshness' ... I still have the feather, so maybe I can do it again with your suggestion in place

Hi Phil, this one looks a bit familiar. Peacock feathers are great and I still have a couple in the patio in a vase. Not easy to capture that iridescence as it’s so reflective. I think you did pretty well considering the lighting and close up kit you used. Maybe a diffused light may have softened the image that wee bit, as like Hans I find it a little contrast for something as soft as a feather. Not a deal breaker by any means as I love the play of colours you’ve captured. Cheers G.
