  • Images by moonlight - causes crazy sleeping patterns!

    G'day all

Yet again having troubles sleeping, therefore waking up around 4am ... so I decided to try some dawn and pre-dawn images related to the foreshore & wave patterns. This night was close to the full moon, so the clouds become quite visible when lit from above

    Here's one of them ...

    As always, feedback welcome

That's a lovely image Phil.. I love the serene looking background against the rocks in the foreground with just the right amount of water movement.
    Cheers, Brad.

Very nice Phil. Like the glistening on the rocks in the foreground.

Great outlook Phil and it looks like the shutter speed was about right for the water.. (I don't like the sea to look too milky).

Can't make up my mind if I like the colour of those MV lights lining the dock or not.. but there's not much you can do about that apart from reducing the intensity.

Cheers and sweet dreams for the future.

I said I wouldn't mention horizons, so I won't. have you tried an ND filter?

            G'day all

Thx for your thoughts - Isac the horizon is okay as the world is flat and the water has not yet leaked out

Lighting WB was an issue - I chose WB=sunlight to match the full moon, but it did leave the yellow sodium vapour lights showing heavy yellow ... if I set WB to tungsten, the lights become okay but the rest of the image goes very blue
