Better I think. The bright spots in the front paddock are a cow and an egret..

Honestly, I think I like number one best. It shows more of the incoming weather, which is pretty well what it is like up there.

I suppose it is a bit like food. Your mood will affect your choice. I like both but they are lacking wow. One day I may get one with the works.

I'm with Lloyd. By cropping it takes away the sense of scale and I think the horizon is an integral part of the image which lets you see the great expanse of the terrain. I think it just needs a bit of work to give a bit more detail or contrast to the mountains in the distance.

number one has the most potential. not fond of the sky blow etc so perhaps you could would that, drop the exposure back and blend the sky,
if you had to crop it, where you did in number 2 is about where it would have to be done, but you would probably need to take some off the bottom also to make it more of a pano.
I would look at sorting the sky first though

I still reckon it doesn't need cropping. You can still get the sky fixed and keep it in. I think a pano doesn't do it justice. It has a great foreground, centre interest with the light highlighting the grassy areas and also a great background with the mountains and stormy sky that that actually looks like rain. This is only my take on it so take it with a grain of salt

I like the full framed version, and I like what Isac has done there.

Its a beautiful part of the world up there. I used to own a 7 acre block on the road into Lake Eacham, unfortunately I sold it a few years back, was going to be our retirement retreat. Made a very good profit on it when I sold it.

I wouldn't crop it, but just try to bring out the details of the foreground, mid-ground and background sky.

Had a go. Better to have a large RAW file. A bit rough with a small jpeg.

You can see why I was drawn to the scene in the first place. Will return to this later and will try and keep the "best" of the suggestions.
