  • Sunrise over the Devil's Marbles

    G'day all

    - another workover image ... obviously I've got too much spare time on my hands

Taken on one of those days when all photography is finished 15 minutes after the sun comes over the horizon, and I go home to bed!
I enjoy these rich colours from those first few [and last few] minutes of the day, when the sun is shining thru the dust in the sky and thus the colours come out the way that they do
    enuff raving !!

Feedback as always from those who wish to

    Phil

I know exactly what you mean about the harsh summer light, but you sure did get some lovely golden glowing light happening here.
I like how you have balanced the shot with the tree on the left and the rocks on the right while having the road leading into the picture..Also the panorama crop works well.. love the blue against the red rocks. it all makes good compositional (I think I just invented a word) sense.

Perhaps some gentle lightening of those long shadows on the road might help draw the eye in along the road more?

            Thanks everyone for your comments

and for those who haven't got there yet ... there's still time
ps- the venue has become so popular that telstra have setup a wifi corner for travellers to use, and the tour buses always stop a while thru the day [ not at night as there's no accommodation]
