  • Twilight image, Canberra's Lake Tuggeranong

    G'day all

    In Canberra recently, and here is another late arvo image - hand held again

    exif = Panny G2; 14-140 @ 65mm [130mm ff-equiv]; 1/2sec x f5,3; EV= -1; iso-800

    This is typical of many of my grab-images ... I'm out somewhere, stop the motorhome for a cuppa and see something that grabs the eye, so off I go to grab it
    Being 'a bit lazy' I didn't delve into the boot for the heavy tripod, so I just leaned onto a post and hoped for the best

    Feedback always welcome

    Phil

      I like the "snap" Phil. Good colours and just the right time of day. Did you get a photo of the post? If you did, you could post the post (haha). If you are a bit like me and can't be bothered getting out all the gear for just a couple of shots, always carry a small bean bag and set up that way. Turn off stabilisation and use timer - you'll see a vast improvement. OR you could just take your own post along with you

          Terrific advice from Isac and agree with the comments others have given, lovely time of day to get the most out of those colours.
          I like the layers of interest in the composition. .
          If you used the advice that Isac gave and had a steady platform you could have had a deeper field and that makes nice star bursts on the lights.
