I wonder what the photo would have presented like if you had been in a lower position with the Pelican silhouetted against the dawn sky. Just a thought, I'm not meaning that as a criticism just a thought for next time. If you had been able to reduce your height over the Pelican maybe you would have caught the bird in the "Golden Glow" rather than the silver reflection. You were definitely in the right place at the right time.
