Yes well I have a large number of Kodachrome 35mm colour slides ,many over 50 years old ,here is one .

You sound a bit like me ... I also have too many slides in the cupboard, and I want to digitise them as well
So far, all my efforts have been scrapped as I can't get them accurate enough - but I keep trying
