  • Just one of our lovely forest tracks

    G'day all

    Spent several very peaceful days at a forested campsite s.w. of Port Macquarie

    Lovely and quiet, water running in the creek, only a dozen or so other campers around ..no trail bikes; no smokers nearby, just the smell of the forest . . . . - ah so peaceful

    The forest track, early morning

    exif = Fuji-X-s1; 1/50s x f4,5; 125mm [ff-equiv]; iso-800

    Not quite deep enough for a swim [I had to walk a bit further for that ]

    exif = Fuji-X-s1; 15s x f11; 24mm [ff equiv]; iso-100

    As always, comments welcome
    Phil

    #1 is very peaceful Phil :mellow:.... and you have puddles and mist .... :excitedhaven't seen mist since .... forever)

    #2 .....:chin: I need to see more water upstream, it feels 'chopped off at the neck' ... (imo) ..... but I love the smooth effect

      Looks like the place to be!. And it's a while since I've seen such lush countryside.

      Great subject, composition and beautiful gentle light. Anything else I could say would only be fluff.

        Lovely light and misty scene.

        I can assure you that it wasn't quiet and peaceful through the forests at Port Mac. in the late 1970s. I was part of a team in the Southern Cross Rally back then!

          Like the composition, light and leading lines in that first image Greg.
          The mist adds that sense of mystery.
          I'd crop that second image so the rocks frame the top.

          Haven't been there, not done that.
