I sort of like this (flower, grasses, water drops and colour) and have tried various cropping without success ... maybe a 'tosser' but seek expert opinion please ..

down the track you will most likely delete it as you put together a good collection of better photos
Bit too busy Barb but that is not to say it's a bad photo.
couple things to look out for next time
You can pick the little differences....
....from your original
all could have been done before clicking
Good photo to trying using your polarizing filter BTW (i think you have one)
Think how Dwayne would take such a photo; but then he's a bit of a freak at it lol

I can certainly see why you like this Barb, no way would I throw this one away.
But I can see a couple of small issues worth mentioning. The central flower is obviously the main focal element but it's slightly 'lost' against the blurred flower in the background. If you had captured the image from a lower perspective, just a couple of inches probably, it might have isolated that flower and made a difference.
The dead blossoms at the front of the image are a minor distraction as is the twig on the right. Need to get the chainsaw out and trim things into shape sometimes!
But that aside I really like the composition here, the tall blade of grass looming over the flower looks great, wonderful light and colour. Hope that helps-----------------------------------------------------

It's in the 'bush walk' sponsored by the Lions … guess they are all to busy to provide maintenance at the moment, but I don't mind the jungle effect … tho will be a fire hazard when it dries out, not to mention a snake hazard.Barb
